Conference!

The Chicago Area SIAM Student Conference will be taking place on April 5, 2025 at Northwestern University.

This year's conference will feature a keynote by Professor Jorge Nocedal, winner of the 2024 John von Neumann Prize, who will be speaking on optimization; a presentation on complex systems by Professor Adilson Motter, director of Northwestern's Center for Network Dynamics; research presentations by graduate researchers, and a career panel titled “Industry and Entrepreneurship in Applied Math.” Additionally, we will have opportunities for students of all backgrounds to contribute a poster to our poster gallery or present a ~2 minute lightning talk during a lunch-and-learn (see registration for details).

Register using this link by March 15 so that lunch can be ordered for you. Registration past this date does not guarantee lunch. You are responsible for transportation to and from the venue:

This event is open to all scholars with an interest in applied mathematics.
